Baan Thitiya - the making of a brand

An astute, clever and hard working young business woman, Joy (the owner and driving force behind Baan Thitiya) opened the doors to her first Thai restaurant in Gate Street, Holborn, London in 1993. 

Its name is Baan Thitiya and is, ‘for those of who are not aware’... Joys family name in Thai.

Joy’s many years of of hard work and experience within the Thai restaurant business taught her the valuable lessons she needed to create the ultimate experience in authentic fine Thai cuisine dining.

Baan Thitiya’s mission statement and philosophy were distilled into one simple promise... “An outstanding quality of authentic Thai cuisine. Complimented with fine wines and exceptional customer service”.

This winning formula has ensured that the brand has established an exceptional reputation with consistent and regular 5 star reviews, high praise within the culinary media and has placed Baan Thitiya in the top ten restaurants in the respected Harden’s UK restaurant guide.

Here at Bishop’s Stortford we use only the finest fresh ingredient's combined with natural flavours, prepared by Baan Thitiya’s super talented and highly respected Thai chefs Mr Foo Suriyon and Mrs Pu Goolteader. This conbined with friendly professional staff and beautifully styled Thai decor make for a dining experience that loyal customers come back for again and again. 

Since opening her first Baan Thitiya Joy has owned and operated her personally branded restaurants in London, Cheltenham, Hertford and here in Bishop’s Stortford. She has recently opened a restaurant in her ‘home town’ of Bankok and is currently looking to establish a new Baan Thitiya restaurant in the UK to add to the Baan Thitiya brand.

The journey continues in 2016 and beyond and see’s the brand go from strength to strength with an ever increasing fanbase of Thai food lovers enjoying tips, recipies, online blogs, cooking videos, and new kids menu, special event days and alfresco dining.
